Visiting Lecturer for the Ministry of Culture in Taiwan
I spoke about the state of the children’s book industry in Ireland and how that influenced my own work in a more personal direction. I also addressed how ‘putting your heart into your work’ leads to a more authentic and ultimately more rewarding career trajectory, using my “Home Is Where the Heart Is” birdhouse project as a case study.
After the publication of Robin and Pip in Chinese, I was invited by the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan to give a keynote speech at their inaugural Taiwan International Children’s Book Festival in Taichung (September 2025). I was also invited to Taipei to give a lecture and a day-long course at the Ministry of Culture Illustrated Book School.
